The Story
When we think of Montreal, we think of FOOD! While the influence of early local French Chefs and Professors of ITHQ had a strong influence on this reputation, the Italian, German, Greek, Middle East, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese and Chinese communities also left a strong imprint in the plethora of restaurants and food stores found here. Yet, it is the Jewish community who perfected Montreal’s most unmistakable dish: smoked meat.
