Transparency

Transparency into our business allows us to show, not tell.  It is the key element necessary for a future where people can vote with their wallets.  Currently, we have two main elements supporting our transparency promise.
The first is our Open Book that shows the costs of making the product and how much we profit from each sale.

The second is our Impact Facts, showing how the product affects our people, the planet, and the sustainability of the current economic systems.

The starting choice for the information that we display comes from alignment with our pillars:
  • Improving Sustainability (both environmental and economic),
  • Ensuring our products include Creativity and are Built to Last,
  • and most importantly, putting People First.
There is a great deal of improvement needed on our impact facts.  Among others, we want to add the carbon footprint, repairability scores, and to pull information from lower down in the supply chain.
