The story
Our RÉSO Balance Game is named after Montreal’s unique underground network, that spreads over 32 km, underneath the city’s downtown core.
Montreal’s underground City, la Ville souterraine is fascinating. The possibility of doing all human activities without ever stepping outside during winter months, can appear quite appealing! Apartment buildings are connected to the underground Metro, which is connected to concert halls, underground shopping malls, grocery stores, cinemas, restaurants, etc. It really sounds like prophecies described by futurists of the 1930’s, where nature would no longer have any hindrance on people’s life.
We all need some fresh air and the well-known Joie de vivre of the local population conquered our harsh winters centuries ago. Yet, avoiding a chilly -25C and icy sidewalks once in a while, is hopefully judged as a minor sin by heavenly authorities, even in the town coined by Mark Twain as the City of the 100 Church Towers.
